Ballyhannon House Horse Riding Treks
Country Lane Trek
Our first trek is the serene country lane trek. This trot through our peaceful bridleways is ideal for exploring Ireland’s best-kept rural secrets. Picture yourself riding out in the picturesque local lanes that are even more striking than portrayed in Hollywood movie scenes.
The country lane trek is short and sweet, packing a potent taste of Ireland into one hour.
Duration: 1 hour. Price: €50.00 per person
Departure Times: 11am, 1pm, 3pm
The second trek, the Woodland Trek, is our most popular. It’s an amazing guided experience out in the lush Ireland countryside. A winding trail through the enchanting Irish woodlands is incredibly peaceful and therapeutic as you breathe in the comforting country air.
You’ll happen upon a stream of bustling salmon and trout, where you can let your horse stop and take a drink — a real hit with the kids! Then you’ll continue down historic centuries-old tracks and trails, eventually setting your eyes upon Ireland’s largest Bronze Age hill fort at Mooghaun, dating back to 950BC.
Our Woodland Trek is a two-hour exploration through Ireland history where you’ll become well-versed in the Irish way of life.
Duration: 2 hours. Price: €100 per person
Departure Times: 11am, 2pm
Ballyhannon Pub Trek
Finally, we have the adventurous Ballyhannon Pub Trek. It’s on this guided trot that you’ll find the sweet village of Quin, where you’ll hop off your horse in the stables and meander over to Malachy’s Pub to enjoy the tastiest pint of Guinness or cup of coffee Ireland has to offer. This trek is perfect for those who want a fun little pit stop between riding. The Ballyhannon Pub Trek is a 3-hour trip that combines the joy of Ireland horseback riding with the fun and laughter of a quaint Irish pub.
